Privacy policy
1px solid red has no account and no server, and makes no network requests. Nothing leaves your device.
What 1px solid red does not do
- It has no account and no sign-in.
- It sends nothing to me or to anyone else: no analytics, no crash reports, no usage statistics.
- It shows no ads and does not track you.
Access to websites
Safari asks you which websites the extension may work on, and you can change that at any time in Safari’s settings. On those websites it waits and does nothing until you start a tool. It then reads the layout, text and styles of the open page on your device, to measure them.
What stays on your device
Your chosen unit, whether guides are shown, and the guides you placed, with the name of the website they belong to. That is all the extension saves.
Clipboard
When you copy a finding or take a snapshot, the text or the image goes to the clipboard of your device. A snapshot is taken only when you ask for it. It is not saved anywhere else.
Deleting data
Remove the guides in the tools. Deleting the app removes everything it saved.
Changes
A planned version will check how a link looks when shared. To compare language versions of a page it will fetch other pages of the same website. This page will say so before such a version comes out, as with any other change in what 1px solid red does with your data.
